ITALTILE COMMERCIAL ADDS VALUE TO THE TONGAAT’S NEW SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOL IN KWATIBA.

A joint venture between local government and private funders, Tongaat Special School was envisioned to bring a positive and inclusive mental and physical climate to learners with severe intellectual disabilities in the Tongaat area. Towards the end of 2023, the school body embarked on a series of upgrades in order to continue providing the best possible environment, one that will uplift, empower and nurture around 110 learners and their teachers and carers.

The school stakeholders, together with OM Moodley and Nikita Lopes Rajoo of OM Moodley Architects, reached out to Italtile Commercial Agent Nadia Moodley to assist them with the completion of the upgraded facilities, with the selection of high-quality, durable tapware and tiles.

Nadia Moodley selected a range of taps with waterwise functionality from Italtile’s trusted supplier ITD. Her choice of high-end porcelain tiles from Italtile’s EcoTec tile manufacturers, Ceramic Industries are thinner, stronger and more durable than traditional tiles made by local manufacturers. Specialist tile adhesive and grout was supplied by Italtile’s partner, Ezeetile.

It is always a privilege and an honour to be invited to assist in the completion of commercial projects that are designed to uplift the previously disadvantaged and marginalised communities in the areas in which we work. This was a project very close to our hearts, and we hope that the Tongaat School continues to provide very special care and guidance to the very special children of Kwatiba.
