In line with the hot trend of patterned tiles taking the décor world by storm – at a time when brightness is the best antidote to Covid cabin fever – Italtile is thrilled to unpack Ceramic Industries’ beautiful, Proudly South African rendition of the classic Patchwork tile.

RETRO is a magnificent remastering of the tile look that has been loved and much sought after for centuries. Based on the ancient art of ‘cementine’, but remastered with high tech digital inkjet technology, RETRO features a soft, honey-toned pattern on a 600x600 matt, glazed porcelain tile. RETRO offers one face (one pattern) in a shade variance of V3; which means the design and intensity of pigment differs subtly from one tile to another, to recreate the natural appeal of the original ‘cementine’ artists’ brushwork.

It is suitable for floors, which means it can also be successfully used on feature walls, patio areas, countertops, or a kitchen splash back. This is a tile that will work beautifully with a Natural, Rustic, Urban or Contemporary homestyle.
