Woodlands Office Park Building 18 Upgraded with Eco-Chic Finishes by Italtile Commercial.

Well-known for its iconic bush landscapes, The Woodlands Office Park, located in a 43-hectare game park and nature reserve, is also one of the largest office parks in the Southern Hemisphere, offering tenants across 126 000m² and 31 buildings a rare connection to nature.

Recently, the 29 000m² Building 28 (which occupies almost one-quarter of the entire Office Park) underwent a significant revamp in order to house new tenants Altron and their nine operating companies under one roof.

The property development company said:  “Before the Altron group moves in, Growthpoint will invest a significant amount to modernise, customise and connect eight buildings to Altron’s requirements,” the property development company said.

“Our intention is to have a workplace that caters for our needs as the employer in creating an environment that promotes employee excellence through collaboration, creative thinking, visibility of leadership and the free flow of communication,” said Altron CEO Mteto Nyati. “We also want our workplace to meet the needs of our employees who don’t only want a modern workplace but appreciate additional lifestyle services such as on-site gym facilities, creche, concierge services and the like.

A key feature of the Altron project is constructing a new walkway to create a spine linking all the buildings together. Growthpoint will also deliver a turnkey internal fit-out solution, beginning with a workplace study, to ensure the space is tailored for Altron’s people and optimised for high performance.”

Growthpoint collaborated with renovators GDM and P4D Interiors, and reached out to Italtile Commercial to supply suitable high-end tiles, mosaics and taps. Italtile’s Commercial Project Agent Jacq Hauptfleisch chose eco-friendly products in keeping with the Office Park’s pristine natural surrounds: porcelain tiles from sustainable local manufacturers Gryphon, a selection of recycled glass mosaics from Global Stone, and waterwise Tivoli taps from ITD.

The project was completed in April 2023.
