The kitchen, two main bathrooms, a guest loo and the outdoor areas needed Italtile attention. Jade selected Spazio White EcoTec to upgrade interior floors and Spazio Gris EcoTec in a slip-resistant format, for a sleek new exterior look. 600 x 1200 mm Spazio is a superb, large format matt porcelain tile with an authentic cement screed effect, created by local sustainability pioneers Gryphon.

Jade transformed the bathrooms and guest loo into modern, spa-style sanctuaries, creating textural layers: firstly, with flecks of sophisticated yet witty colour from 600 x 1200 mm Marbo Flakes, an eye-catching terrazzo-style polished porcelain tile, and then, with lush, lustrous Vogue Subways in dark blue Denim and soft, neutral Neutro. These highly unusual subway tiles are both real dazzlers when laid in a non-traditional, more playful herringbone pattern with contrasting grout.

Finally, to add a touch of luxe to an already well-appointed kitchen, Jade revamped the kitchen splashback with 600 x 1200 mm Statuario Valgi: a pale, almost translucent glazed porcelain tile, with delicate grey veining in the style of the most desirable and rare Carrara-style marble.

The house was bought to renovate and re-sell.
