Italtile's Exciting New Hardbody Ceramic Tiles

April 4, 2024

Well known for our superb ranges of high-end porcelain tiles, it’s not often that we find an exceptional ceramic tile range tough enough to take its place alongside our durable porcelain collection. Meet Aurora Marmo and Lunar Grey, our wonderful new marble-look Hardbody Ceramic Tiles, created for both floor and wall use. Tough, durable, and incredibly beautiful.

Aurora Marmo has a pale grey marbling , while Lunar Grey is a dramatic stormy grey with subtle silver-grey veining.

Both Aurora Marmo and Lunar Grey are 600mm x 1200mm x 9.2mm and are rectified, with precise edges. They have been mechanically cut and precisely machined to ensure perfectly straight and uniform edges, for tight joins (1.5mm) and minimal grout lines. This creates a sleek and near seamless look, which gives the tiles surface a continuous look for a modern aesthetic.

Both tiles in the range have an R9 slip resistance rating, which means they have a surface that is relatively smooth and ideal for dry interior areas. We do not recommend that you use them as a pool surround.

What is the difference between Porcelain Tiles and Hardbody Ceramic Tiles?

Hardbody Ceramic Tiles are non-porous and offer outstanding levels of toughness and durability for years of use. They differ from porcelain tiles only in their composition and manufacturing process.

Manufacturing process. Superior materials, advanced manufacturing techniques and meticulous processes combine to ensure a robust product.

Durability. Developed to offer exceptional durability and resistance to wear and tear, with a non-porous surface that makes them almost identical in nature to high-end porcelain tiles, Italtile’s new Hardbody Ceramic Tiles can be relied upon to withstand heavy foot traffic, impact, and stresses, making them ideal for both residential and commercial use where durability is crucial. The tiles show remarkable resistance to scratching, breaking and other forms of damage, like chemical wear, stains, and UV damage, traditionally seen in regular ceramic tiles.

The new Hardbody Ceramic tiles are exclusive to Italtile.
