Owners and shareholders of Italtile are determined to keep it current. The leaders of the ceramic and bathroom ware industry tile the way when it comes to staying on top of trends – not just in the home and décor industry, but in retail business. The 40-year-old showroom in Menlyn, Pretoria has just had a facelift to become one of the most inviting shopping experiences in the area. Shoppers will still experience the same excellent customer service that they are used to, but now with a few pleasant surprises.
The opening was held at the showroom on 30 August 2017 where guests got to experience the marvellous completion of what has been underway since August 2016. The renovation was compartmentalised in order to retain customer satisfaction.
Changes to the retail experience include an auditorium style layout which improves the shoppers logical flow through the store, and allows the consultants to keep a watchful eye in case shoppers require assistance.
The store invites you to take your time in perusing as it offers a play area for children and a coffee bar that promises to keep you going during your time of decision making. Make yourself at home in the décor hub that is now not only a meeting area for designers, but also offers internet connection and digital integration. This area can now be used to access your Pinterest account, internet banking or our online store, for example.
And of course, last, but not least, is the area that has been specifically allocated and designed for the growing trend of the ceramic industry – large format tiles. Once you are ready to collect from the store, you will also find an improved dispatch area that means a refreshingly brief wait while your products get loaded by the warehouse assistants.
Showroom manager and shareholder Wayne Bennett was pleased to host a guest list of valued clients that included Boogertman & Partners, Beads Interior Design, Shanti Wyala Trust, BBA Architects, It Is Design and BILD Architects. The guest speaker for the evening was trendsetter and interior designer, Donald Nxumalo. Donald explained how he finds inspiration in local African music, art and fashion and how these tie into trends we see in the home.
The unveiling of the revamped store marked the beginning of a new period that is sure to show growth, innovation and plenty of creativity in the inspiring homes that it produces.
