Location, location, location… Ask anyone the first rule of a retail business and this is what they will say. Italtile recognises the growth that Polokwane is currently achieving and has decided to expand its footprint further north to the largest urban centre of Johannesburg.
The new store, totalling 1300m2 has recently opened its doors in Thornhill, Limpopo. It is essential to Italtile that they provide clients with all the latest trends in a current shopping experience. This store is a declaration of this intent in many ways.
When trying on anything for size, it is normally more flattering to do so in natural light. This also rings true for our tile designs. The showroom was designed by Prism Architects to allow 60% of all showroom light to be natural. So, when you view a tile in the showroom, it shows the true shade and colour. The natural light aids to improve the energy efficiency level of the building, and strengthens the LiveGreen principles. Other eco-credentials that the building boasts are LED lighting, environmental impact assessments during the construction phases and above average wall and roof insulation.
Sias Human, new manager of Italtile Polokwane was tasked to open the store 12 months ago and had this message on completion, “My team and I are as excited as our clients to share our quality products, world class showroom and incomparable service with them. We have been graciously accepted by the Polokwane City and we look forward to a very long prosperous journey with them.”
Other parties that were incremental in the design and construction of this new and exciting retail outlet are: builders JN de Witt, engineers ADI Consulting and quantity surveyors Quanto 2000.
